Woo Hoo!!!!

So the mail came this morning when I was going between doors carrying crap down from the apartment project from hell...when I saw the mailman coming up the street. So I ran inside and grabbed ten bucks out of my wallet and when he handed me my mail I handed it to him and said, "Happy Holidays" He seemed kinda surprised at it...he's new on the route as are most of the neighbors...I wonder if most of them stiffed him.

Anyway...Whether it was the ten bucks or not...3 or 4 hours later when I was making another round of trips from the third floor to the basement...he was driving by in his truck and pulled up into my driveway and got out to hand me the package I've been waiting very impatiently for...

I now own both Dick Proeneke videos and the book they culled from his journals (That amazon cut me off on last night because I've 'previewed' too many pages) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Well...ok....I still haven't opened the envelope...it wasn't addressed to me...and we all know that opening someone else’s mail is a federal offense punishable by something something something. So I guess I'll be waiting for the company and the candles later this evening...but little does she know that means I'll also have company as I sit and watch the video tonight (That we've already seen umpteen times on pbs but this will be longer and uninterrupted by their dang fundraising)...and I might just have to put the other one in after that neither one of us has seen before. And then there are always toothpicks to prop the eyelids open as I sit in bed and read from the gospel according to Dick.
